talking to a member of one of my fav gaze band, dissapoint

Post by htsamurai »

"Our record just came out so there is some inevitable touring to be done, we just have to figure out where and when. My pedal setup right now basically like this : 1960 true bypass Morley volume pedal - EHX holy grail - Boss DD6 - Rocktron chorus - Hartman LH308 - Boss TU 2. My pedal board switches fairly often depending on what I want to use I also use a Big Muff Pi, Crybaby Wah, Boss Chorus ensemble, Boss RV3, Modded Boss DS 1, Boss MD 2, Digitech RP 3.
I'm a bit unsure what you mean about useable and nonusable stuff? could you clarify?
I'm a member of MBSR - VauxhallandNick and Shoegaze.co.uk - Drone."

:(

Wow, those are all pretty bland pedals.

Also, IMO, Boss distortion is shit.

Yessir. VauxhallandNick.

Knowing what this place does though, I'd expect a change in the lineup...

Preemptive hiya Nick!

If the music sounds good, who cares what pedals are used?

Unclear on the nonusable part, though.

The old lead guitar player had the SHITTYEST equipment. But he somehow managed to make it sound awesome. People would always come up after shows asking where his real rig was.....for reals. Some people are just like that, able to make chicken salad out of chicken shit. Most of us are mortal.

not to be a horrible wet blanket, but i've noticed that it's mostly bedroom people who use fancy-schmancy boutique pedals...folks that tour 200 nights a year tend to use cheap, bulletproof shit they can send their guy to Guitar Center to replace if it breaks at soundcheck.
