i have a knuckle tattoo. it's a simple eye in black on my right hand's ring finger. easy to cover with a ring, too.

i don't like words on the knuckles, but i love hand tattoos.

Why does no one listen to me? Union job, that's awesome, I'm telling you though people hate on it. I get comments every fucking day from annoying ass people saying rude shit to me. I get a lot of compliments too, but it's still annoying. I almost regret getting tattoos at all. I hate the following questions.

"did that hurt?" what do yo think moron? no it felt fucking great!

"why would you do that?" gee I dunno, because I felt like it.

"what are you going to do when you're old?"

"what if you don't like those later on?"

"where did you get that done?" this one annoys me because when I mention it isn't in the same city that I live, people don't care anymore. Why the fuck do you ask if you don't really want to know?

Oh and I love the "how does your mother feel about them?"

That being said, if you're going to do a tat, don't put some stupid fuckin shit on your knuckles. No offense to anyone here that has a tat like that, but that's fucking retarded. Get something hardcore on the whole hand and incorporate the knuckles. Like a bad ass zombie or whatever.

This seems like the only legitimate question though. If they like the work you've had done, then maybe they're looking for a recommendation, or at least are interested.

But yeah, nothing is worse than getting asked the same questions over and over again. It reminds me of when I skipped 5th grade, "Oh, you skipped a grade, you must be like, smart?" Seriously, I've gotten pretty much that same comment more times than I can count.

As for the words, I can't come up with any other ideas that you'd actually want permanently stained on your body. Which is partly why I don't have any tattoos myself.

See that's why I got hand tats. My tattoo artist does not do hands for just anyone. In fact I've heard him flat out refuse to do them on people. On me he was like, what's it matter dude, you're already covered. I have basically two full sleeves, tats on both legs, my stomach, chest and back are tatted. So yea. It didn't matter, but it did. I cannot hide them now. I don't really regret them, but people make me feel like I should when they say awful things to me. One old dude even scowled at me and told me "they should make you where longs sleeves!" I ignored him and he continued to scowl at me for like 5 minutes before finally going away. I work in retail right now though. Wanted to be a firefighter, but even they care about that shit! What the fuck! So I'm planning on doing HVAC because of many reasons, but one of them is that nobody gives a fuck if their HVAC guy has tats. Why would you?
