What gear do you usually use for pedal demos? I like the tone. It reminds me really old stuff like this sometimes:

Hey Eric, what guitar and amp do you use for your demos?

all the older demos were a squier bullet strat with a repotted 1984 MIJ telecaster neck pickup into a dua bridged 386 chip amp... basically a a Noisy Cricket with two chips in it for 1 watt instead of 1/2watt power. witgh a 8" jensen mod speaker.
right now... Vox DA5... which doesn't take pedals well!

have a layout for the dual chip amp? Did you run it at 18V?

Re: Hey Eric, what guitar and amp do you use for your demos?
i dont have a layout, but i should make one sometime. I really intend to build another someday soon.
i never got to run it at 18v, that woulda been nice. It would make an awesome busking amp, and of course even at 9v (1w) it was plenty loud for my apartment at the time.
It was a cross between a Beavis Audio Noisy Cricket and the Runoff Groove Little Gem MKII (which is the dual bridged chip part).
I'll draw up a schematic in a couple days if you like.

id realy like to design with a built in 18v charge pump so it can run off a 9v supply though, because those are so common
