wow. he sounds so OLD there. i don't know Rollins that well, but what i've heard i always thought was.... kinda.... easy and didn't take much talent to do..... funny to hear him rail about the same idea in a music genre he doesn't know shit about. did he do some cool stuff?

he DOES work out a lot though.

i like Henry, and i respect a lot of what he's done. but it's painfully obvious that his discussion of "rave music" is driven by a vast ignorance of the subject from the way he casually conflates hip-hop, jungle, and trance as if stylistic tropes of one genre were common and/or relevant to another. and quite honestly, you could critique hardcore punk bands of the 80s in almost exactly the same words HR uses to slag modern alt-rock bands. but what appalls me is him saying "i want to censor." really, Prominent Free Speech Advocate Rollins? censor? in hope there will then be more music you personally like that nobody wants to buy any more?

i like the joke about accidentally getting his dick used to rough trade by slamming it with a toilet seat over and over while trying to figure out how somebody got injured in an article he read.

yah, i don't know his work at all, but it's jarring to hear that level of ignorance from a musician that's been active for so long.
