Arriving Friday night, leaving the following Friday.
Coney Island is definitely a possibility. Take a nap on the beach, maybe...

& I'm probably going to go to MoMA, possibly other museums if I can afford it.

Brooklyn museum of art is so nice and it's free, and the surrounding area is great as well.
Buy a pack of cigarettes to see the crushing affect of NYC cigarette tax, and you'll feel like a true New Yorker!

the Met is only one of the two or three best broad-spectrum art museums in North America. if you like *any* sort of pre-1920 fine arts, go there. the Greco-Roman sculpture alone is worth the price of admission.

The Met's by donation. I usually give them a nickel because it's the most insulting denomination.

I think most of the other museums have free/reduced admission days too. I forget. Because I'm a student. AHAHAHA!

Also, since it's all warm now, the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens might be nice...

The other day I sat inside a fountain at Union square playing cards. Right next to me were some Buskers and across there square there was a protest rally opposing China and their involvement with Tibet and other things. It was such a surreal experience because I was in the middle of the whole square with so much shit going on but I was still seperated in my own little bubble inside the fountain.
