First instance of weird noise is a Year 4545, FYI.
I also listened to the audiobooks, and I couldn't have been more satisfied with Roy Dotrice. Peter Dinklage is good and all, but to me Roy is the true Tyrion. I was lucky, audible released his reading of A Feast For Crows right after I finished Storm of Swords, so I got uninterrupted Dotrice from start to finish. After experiencing the first 3 that way, nothing else could ever suffice.
Back on-topic to GOT, I started reading Clash of Kings last night. Made it about 5 chapters in ... fuck, I love Tyrion. One of the best characters in any book, period.
I decided before this last one that I'm using my "Robert Jordan Maneuver" on GoT. It's one of my favorite series....but I won't read another page until it's finished. Not only will that save me from having to reread every book a few times during the 8 year drought between releases....but it'll also not hurt as bad when that guy goes the way of the buffalo...

That's the midget? He's the only palatable character in the show *patiently waiting for book shipment...*

That's a pretty good idea, but it's too late for me. I'm definitely going to have to read through all of the books before the next one comes out, and then there should be another one.
