Re: the happiness, excitement, and general contentedness thr
Terrible day, it all went wrong, once again without food, people in my life drifting apart and just feeling suicidey etc.
But then I found £10 on the ground, yes it should have been spent on eating but I bought 10 cigarettes, enough booze to get decently hammered on and a made in store pizza reduced from £3 to 50p (which was insanely nice and my first proper meal this week).
Get back home and I find out Day of the Dead is on TV, lying under a blanket, pizza, booze, alllll good.
Sometimes it's the l'il things.

I get to go up to Buffalo and spend a couple days with my girlfriend, her parents, and her grandma (who's so wonderful, omg), and see Death Cab with my girlfriend! Fuck yeah! This has been a good couple months!
By the end of April, I'll have seen Jeff Mangum, Bright Eyes, Buckethead and Death Cab for Cutie. I just need to catch Modest Mouse and Das Racist now, and I'll have seen most of my top bands, I think.
Das Racist is hilarious live. Some people dont like how silly they are but I like to think of them as hip hop's Zappa.

Had a big family get-together, which doesn't happen very often, for my grandfather's birthday. Good times.

Re: the happiness, excitement, and general contentedness thr
My wife understands ILF finally! We had the following conversation last night:
Me: Well, I've got a couple pedal trades coming through, but no fuzz moving around at the moment.
Her: No fuzz? Finally happy, then?
Me: Pretty much.
Her: Well, until you find something else to sweep you off your feet on ILF, right?
Me: Exactly.
I cracked up.

EPIC WIN!!!! XD
This happened on TAM airlines.
A 50-something year old white woman arrived at her seat and saw that the passenger next to her was a black man.
Visibly furious, she called the air hostess.
"What's the problem, ma?" the hostess asked her
"Can't you see?" the lady said - "I was given a seat next to a black man. I can't seat here next to him. You have to change my seat"
- "Please, calm down, ma" - said the hostess
"Unfortunately, all the seats are occupied, but I'm still going to check if we have any."
The hostess left and returned some minutes later.
"Madam, as I told you, there isn't any empty seat in this class- economy class.
But I spoke to the captain and he confirmed that there isn't any empty seats in the economy class. We only have seats in the first class."
And before the woman said anything, the hostess continued
"Look, it is unusual for our company to allow a passenger from the economy class change to the first class.
However, given the circumstances, the commandant thinks that it would be a scandal to make a passenger travel sat next to an unpleasant person."
And turning to the black man, the hostess said:
"Which means, Sir, if you would be so nice to pack your handbag, we have reserved you a seat in the first class..."
And all the passengers nearby, who were shocked to see the scene started applauding, some standing on their feet."
EPIC WIN!!!! XD

I'm still upset that I missed them this summer. Nobody would go with me, and I didn't have a way to get an hour out of town (I don't drive). Fucking sucked.

story's probably not true; in fact, i think i saw it years ago. but it should be.
i've been exchanging e-mails the last few days with a woman who ran a personals ad on Craigslist. i feel all nervous and high-schooly, all What's the Right Thing to Say? I Don't Want to Make A Bad Impression. especially since she's as hesitant and heartbroken as me. but it's really sweet just to know somebody likes my e-mails enough to write back repeatedly.

try so hard to see them, they're sick live. when i saw them it was grrrreat. there was also some delay pedal looping madness which vic rapped over.
as well as the 'i am capable of transcending compassion' call and response. i don't think they do that anymore tho. they didn't when i saw them.

well, i know that says freestyle but compared to dr's actual freestyles i'm pretty sure they wrote that one out. vic is still crazy good at freestyling, but his style is so much different for that. check out their freestyle over pop champagne. has prob my fav lines ever "journalists asking why we take our education for granted/white schools leave black and spanish educationally damaged and stranded/still i can basically manage'
you know who else is good at freestyling? nitty scott, mc.

I prefer Vic's flows. She didn't change it up enough for me.
I'm working on trying to get noise rap going. Just tacking words together with no sense at all, just good flow, kind of the extreme side of some of Vic's stuff.
