I'm kind of drawing a blank right now for a bad ass movie, but I Saw The Devil is quite a bad ass movie.
Such a good feeling having the "hero" appear at the best times and just fuck things up.

I was quite surprised how much I enjoyed it, being how graphic it was.

I've never, ever, ever met someone who was middle of the road when it comes to 2001. You either think it's incredible or unwatchable.

Anyway, what about
Image

The movie that Tarantino ripped off when he wrote Natural Born Killers.

And Apocalypse Now!

Both featuring a certifiably badass Martin Sheen.

Apocalypse Now was for the longest time my No. 1 movie ever. now it's no. 2, after American Beauty.

Also, 2001 blows chunks, and I normally love Kubrick. It's just too damn esoteric.

See, I don't jibe with American Beauty (and/or Sam Mendes films in general) because the dialog is frustratingly expository. People don't talk like people in AB, they talk like characters in a movie.

"My name is Lester, and this is what I'm feeling."

and so on.

Needless to say, I love 2001.
