Not sure, he ran through some dirty park water the other day, and has been kinda itchy. We bathed him, but our vet said we bathe him too much. So I've been giving him the child benadryl to help with the itching...I know it's time for another dose when he starts spinning like a fucking top. Aw well...he's good for the lulz.

Not confirmed, yet. I'm going to get a stool sample next week to be sure, but I think it is more a sign of my dog being a little too fat to scratch his own ass. leaning out his food soon as well. he's 19lbs, but I think he is more comfortable around 13-15.

gah. since i work with dogs all day and i'm unable to NOT give unsolicitated advice - rather than worms it's more likely he has an inhalent allergy or needs his anal glands expressed (because that's a MUCH nicer phrase than Roll My Dogs Butt Tube Like Toothpaste Until Hell Paste Comes Out Of It). if you're using non-detergent shampoos and using some type of coat oil after the bath you won't dry it's skin out, making him itchy.

and we use the adult (usually off brand for the cheapers) Benadryl for itchies. one a day for smaller dogs, one twice a day for bigger. shit works wonders with most pups.

although, if that's all my dog did when it was itchie i'd be tempted to leave it alone for Teh Lulz.

yeah, he definitely has allergies. Evolution gave my dog the short end. We often refer to him as broken. He does the hyperventilation thing when he gets over excited since we first got him, and he has just been itchy lately. He doesn't drag his butt, just the butt twirl. There is no sign of worms that we can see, and damn near everything he does is hilarious. So we don't worry too much.

The shampoo thing is a pro tip, indeed. Any brands you can recommend?

And I have excised his glands before...that was an experience. Worked at it for like 30 minutes just to get the proper pinch right...but to have him stop leaving that rotten fish gut smell on the couch was worth it. My girlfriend about lost her shit, though. Still makes her gag. :lol:
