Reading the Boss DD7 manual that I probably should have read before I started playing with the pedal. Really interesting read!

Ancient Greece, Babylon, The Church, Aristotle, the Renaissance, The Enlightenment, burning of heretics, mathematicians driven to madness, Aristotle's secret society, numbers too dangerous for the masses, Ptolemy, Thomas Aquinas, Copernicus, Newton, Leibnitz, dividing by zero, calculus, planetary motions ... it's a blast through history as well as anything else.alexa. wrote:devnulljp wrote:Back to back historical mathematical philosophical headfuck./quote]
Wow, sounds interesting O_o
I like mindfucks. Could you give your short view of both books and the subjects they work through?
Try to imagine not knowing what zero is, and people arguing about it.

But what is zero, really... maaaaaaaan?
Finished The Mouse That Roared last night. Awesome book, highly recommended.
Got a little headway on the Illuminatus! books. I like what I'm reading so far.

I just picked up a book on the history of the Vocoder. I am not technically reading it yet though. (So, this post may be deleted if it goes against the rules of this thread.)

I got it for Christmas. I'm hoping to read the whole Disc World series this year. I read Good Omens awhile back and really enjoyed it.

Haha. Yeah that was a good one.
Taking a little break from books and reading some comics and graphic novels. Just picked up 2 and 3 of Spaceman, and 4 and 5 of Oldboy.
Also, reading up on these because I'm starting to plan out a comic.

Anyone get a Kindle for Christmas? I bought a Kindle touch for my wife; she loves it. I'm going to have to get one for myself at some point.

Yeah, it's awesome! I got the new basic one or whatever, I'm really enjoying it.
Plus it gave me an excuse to change my Wifi's name to "I SEE YOU".

new ssid - STOP READING GRRLIE PORN
i LOVE my Kindle. i have one of the Kindle keyboard ones that does 3g and wifi, played with the Fire and the Touch at a local Best Buy. i'm not a huge fan of the touch, i'd rather have the Next/Back Page buttons be physical on the side than swipe, and the Fire is cool if you....... just want...... an Amazon branded Android Tablet. 'cause that's all it is. it's got a pretty screen, but it's running the same free download Kindle software that you can put on any iphone, Android, iPad, PC or Mac.
i just wanted a BOOK replacement. and the not-redrawing screen is PERFECT for text. love the thing. actually gave away LOADS of books after i got it.
