Just bought a Boss SE-70

Post by psychedelicrelic »

AND ITS FUCKING SICK NASTY TO THE MAX, PEEPS.

Really great MIJ multieffects processer from early 90's. Half-rack sized, similar to the VF-1. I used to have a VF-1 and sold it. Kinda been wanting another one and this kinda dropped in to my lap. Distortions are so much more useable. Good delays and reverb. guitar and bass synths kick ass. I love this thing...half the patches of the VF but twice as useable IMHO. PLUS A VOCODER.

i know the prodigy and the flaming lips uses one(or 4).

just thought i should mention it, be on the look out for one. probably never going to sell it(ive said that before and sold anyway)

DEMO?! SHOULD I DEMO?! yeah probably. later though.

The Boss multifx of the era are forgotten little monsters. Me-6B has amazingly ugly analog synth bass that will track (and mistrack if you so desire) guitar in unreal ways, ME-10 lets you route anything (even distortion type, which sends the unit into short-term chirping fits as it switches analog circuits) to expression control, and the SE-50/70/VF-1 and the other half/full rack units are unreal bargains for evil processing.

Delays are basically always solid along with other time-based effects and the distortions are better than you'd expect until the early 2000 units.
