They are nothing alike. The OG Mode T amp is insane...the reissue is crap.

Was that Fender Bassman 300 head that they branded differently still in the crap category?

Nick from Bongripper has or had one. Said he turned off about 3/4 of the features on it to get something that sounded right

I had 1 that i used for about a year then traded up to an orange ad200b about a month ago. They do take pedals great, they have a great clean channel but it starts breaking up around 4 and doesnt get much louder (just fuller) till you get past 8 and then it might as well be an overdrive channel. I thought the distortion channel actually sounded pretty killer but extremely quiet in comparison to the clean, if you want a reference of one at full tilt listen to brandon's rythm guitar tracks on the newest COUGH album, or you can visit the reverbnation site in my sig the tracks there were a Model T reissue clean/distortion/distortion + muff. In a nutshell they were fenders attempt to break into the metal game, it's still a fender head though. They are reliable (much more so than the 300t, see the response below this), decently loud, and sound decent. If you can get one for a decent price (i'd say between 500$ and 750$) theyre worth picking up. If your looking to play at cranked to 10 levels with a rack ton of fuzz and diistortion.... i'd honestly say look elsewhere.

Yes i have one and it's an 80 pound paper weight..... needs 5-800$ in repairs. Avoid them like the plague unless theyve had the fender service bulletin updates done.

When we played with them at SHoD back in august he was using a reissue, me and him had a 20 minute talk on how much trash gets talked about them. Theyre really cool dudes. He might own an original too :idk: but he said he tours with the reissue.

PS. Are you in Virginia?

They are rad! And yes, I live in Richmond for the time being and hang out with Parker pretty regularly! Their practice spot is the ultimate wet dream. I've never seen so many amps in one spot haha

Thats awesome, I live in the nova area bout 2 hours north from richmond. Parkers a really cool dude, his Ric is friggin schweet. I've never had the opportunity to hang out with them outside of shows but they seem cool as shit to chill with. I wouldnt doubt that atleast one of them has an original Model T, i was surprised to see that brandon was using so few pedals. I think he had a tuner, wah, and maybe a booster that was about it.

Cool man! Yeah, I agree, his Ric is awesome. I know for a fact they have another Sunn head in the practice spot, but I don't think it was a T. I know that Brandon was using it before he got the reissue, but then switched over. It's been fun watching Brandon experiment with pedals whenever I get a chance to see them. He usually has a wah, but I know for a while he was experimenting with tube overdrives. I built and modded a few pedals for Parker over the past few months, and I think we're going to collaborate on a Big Muff with some major mods for his bass next!
