I don't do a whole lot of work on pedals and such, but does one often shave resistors? If so, how do you get the shaving cream to stick to something that small?

The only store near me that sells any good pedals (Blackout, Earthquaker, Fairfield, Empress, Catalinbread, etc.) also sells Freekish Blues and JHS, I've had to bite my tongue the last few times I've been in there.
does JHS rip off their designs too? i did not know that.
i mean, they don't have much for bass anyways, but i DID buy a Low Drive once. was nice enough. don't really like supporting peoples that give good builders a bad name though.
