if you're not playing shows or rehearsing very often (more than once or twice a week) then i guess it's not as big a deal to wear earplugs... though think of it like this:

It's not a choice, folks...it just has to be done. Even the garden-variety foam cones work well enough; they mess with the mix a bit, and you have to shove 'em in and pull 'em back out slowly to adjust, but = no deafness. Plus, it just lets you play even louder...

yes! they are fantastic and for the price *$12 you cant beat em! We also always have free cheepo foam earplugs to giveaway at our shows. we don't aspire to loudness for loudness sake, but sometimes they club or the soundguy cranks it, especially in larger venues.
