fuck yeah stroh!
Stroh is also the name of a shitty beer here, so people get it confused.

I'm not american, but I've tried it. Pretty cool stuff, doesn't taste as strong as it is at all.
Rye/Canadian Whiskey is where it's at. Crown Royal mixed with ginger ale is an obvious winner.
However, everytime I visit my parent's, I swear my dad tries to get me drunk. He has a drink in my hand in less than 5 minutes. It always some sort of rye I haven't tried. I love it. The best stuff I tried lately was this.
I could drink this straight all day everyday. I also hate mixing rye with cola. It's just so wrong.

Another fan of Crown and ginger ale here. Maker's and Glenlivet are my go-to's for sure. Especially Maker's.
*waiting for MLC to hit up some Crown/MM action in this thread*

distilleries.
I have really weird tastes in liquor because i don't process alcohol well--i come from a long line of alcoholics and substance abusers--and thus don't really like the taste of many alcoholic beverages. i've always liked brandies and cognacs, which i drink in tiny sips like a grandmother. i enjoy a whiskey very occasionally, but tend to prefer Americans such as Jack Daniels or Wild Turkey to UK varieties when i do. i have a bit of a soft spot for gin (that New Amsterdam sounds like it'd be perfect in my preferred gin-and-OJ), and lately have been pinging down chilled vodka shots in the evening for stress relief regularly enough that i'm fixing to cut myself off before i develop another bad habit to go along with my marijuana addiction. I can only really deal with tequila in margaritas, which i love quite a lot. but i can't drink more than two mixed drinks or three beers or somebody's gonna have to drive me home, unless i have two or three hours to dry out. and i absolutely HATE that drunken state where i can't control my body movements. i think it's because i spent so much time sick when i was a kid that being in control of my physical functioning is so psychologically important to me.

i drink more fucking bourbon and scotch than the rest of this fuckin' thread combined. you don't think so? perhaps you are a boob and should meet DRINKERS.
currently, Scotch, Cragganmore, single malt, Speyside.
Bourbon is my favorite. I like Knob Creek, Makers Mark, Bulliett, and when money is tight Old Crow is the go to. I love it when my liquor cabinet is well stocked and I can get nice and drunk mixing all kinds of weird drinks.
