Outside sucks ass though and I tried to love it for years. Sure, I thought world PVP would be fun too but since I can't get any quests and thus can't earn any money, I literally stand no chance of ever winning a duel against anyone but a noob. Ranged weapons are OP as fuck and seriously need a nerf. I wanted to be a warrior but you can only buy decorative blades in specialty markets, and besides, I always feel uncomfortable at those sword stalls because of the extreme paleness of the other customers.
Clearly they are vampires and I have no weapons with which to combat them.
You don't even respawn when you die. Some guilds keep spreading rumors that you can earn one, but I know that feature was never implemented in the first place. If you don't have a carriage you must walk for-fucking-ever to reach the next town, and hopefully you won't starve to death on the way there (really? I have to micromanage food too? Really?). When you finally get there you have a high chance of getting ganked instantly by mounted rangers. There's no balance to this game.

this game has consumed my life. I haven't seen my girlfriend in almost a week, and I skipped work on Saturday. I'm now level 18 and i have yet to complete a single quest, I spend all of my time dungeon creeping and hunting trolls, giants, mammoths and those shitty fucking Necromancers. Fuck Necromancers.

Yeah, my steam playtime says 30 hours, and I've completed like 2 main quests and a couple of others here and there? Not a lot, there's just so much other stuff to do!

I hate fighting magic users 'cause I'm totally defenseless against them. I doubt the "elemental block" thing applies to 2handed weapons... Most of the time I just shout them off of cliffs and stuff. There's this one tower where you walk in and there are like five fucking mages just waiting there at the front door to murder you. Don't think I'm ever gonna clear that one.

have you tried enchanting shit yet? whenever you find a piece of armor that says resist whatever disenchant it, and then enchant whatever armor you're using to boost your defenses.
also, i find spamming the weakest unrelenting force (so it recharges quicker) and poisoning my weapons helps a shit ton.

Yeah, I'm working on enchanting too but I'm totally broke right now after being forced to buy a house so I'll have somewhere to store my growing collection of dragon parts. So I can't buy any superfancy soul gems. If I can only get like 5% resist then it's not even worth it right now
A lot of the pain of fighting mages is because of my combat style, which is exactly like this:
In most games I just rush in and beat the hell out of things. I tend to rely on getting support (or at least a distraction) from teammates...which doesn't happen in this game quite as much. I like 2-handers too much to pick up a shield.
