I currently work part time as a guitar teacher.
It's an awesome job with great pay, but I need to find something with more hours as well.

I think a lot of people won't hire me based on my appearance, which is a bit of a drag.
What do you long haired fellas do for work?

When I had long hair I worked in restaurants and taught snowboarding.
When I had short hair, I worked in restaurants and taught snowboarding.
;)

Now I'm a full time student and I work in... independent publishing (which is a goddamn trip and a half) and teach snowboarding. :thumb:

I'm a kitchen supervisor at a local bar/lounge here. I spend a lot of time training new cooks, handling paperwork, and not enough actual cooking. I have peons who do that for me.

This time last year I was line cook at the Chateau Lake Louise in the Fairview Dining Room. It's a weird upgrade, going from Fancy with lots of garnishes food to fancy pubgrub.

that's what i never got. i've seen semi trucks tip over on the highway...

i don't see why they were like "alright optimus, you're gonna be a fucking badass, defending earth, getting all the bitches, do you know what we made you? a semi truck. that's right. a semi"

I was wondered if that is a semi, then what is a whole?

My hair is the length that it is in my current avatar and I also own a beard. I'm pretty much a webmonkey who never sees the light. When i do get out amongst other humans at work, I only interact with faculty members who tend to be very open minded.

Most recently I took money from rednecks and sat on my ass all day, until the county budget decided my paycheck was discretionary spending.

Now I vegetate and go to college.

My parents keep telling me to become a pharmacist...

Legal drug dealing via a licensed pharmacy is how I roll.

LOTS of school, more work than I ever imagined. The payoff is nice depending what field you choose to pursue. Retail pharmacy is like McDonalds with drugs and grouchy old people instead of happy meals and bratty kids. I've gone on to research which I love but I'm always traveling for conferences and other work related shit. At least they send me to huge metropolitan areas so killing time is no problem.

Sweet! I really am interested in research, but afraid the work it'll take to get there will end me. Good to know someone else here traveled down the same path I'm facing though!
