I stopped playing when I graduated high school (1995). You know, back when there were actual cards.

Re: Magic: The Gathering Planeswalker 2012
All about infinite blue-green combos. I'll leave it here,AGAIN:
OPENING HAND:
1 FOREST
1 ISLAND
1 YAVIMAYA COAST
1 BIRDS OF PARADISE
1 aLUREN
1 MANOWAR
1 ESSENCE WARDEN
Draw, turn 1,play Yavimaya Coast, take 1 damage, tap it for green>cast birds>pass turn. Turn 2, draw Arcane denial, circular logic, force of will, etc.>play island, cast essence warden>pass turn. Take 3rd draw, play forest, tap forest, bird,Island, yavimaya Coast>cast aluren for 2GG,cast Manowar for free, targeting itself with its ability(returns it/another creature to owner's hand). And with the essence warden in play, you gain life equal to the number of times you target manowar with its own ability(aluren let's you plat 3 or less casting cost creatures for free). Gain infinite life. Your opponent knocks all the cards off the table and goes home mad. The end.
That being said, fuck that game,it's the devil

I preferred this game. But I didn't know anybody else who did. So I played Magic instead.
Whoa, flashback to 1997.

Re: Magic: The Gathering Planeswalker 2012
When I was 12 I worked in a bakery, and I would trade black and white cookies to the owner of the comic book shop next door for packs of Magic cards.
I've been wanting to play again recently, but I don't like the new sets as much, and it seems like a lot of effort to put a new deck together.

I only play legacy these days (legacy allows cards from every set minus the power 9 and a couple other OP cards) Elder Dragon Highlander/Commander is somewhat cool, 100 card decks with no repeating cards. Havn;t hit up any tournaments since highschool, and sold most of my collection for a couple thousand to fund my freshman year living expenses.
