Yes, phantasmagorovich, it is going to be badass. I think they've been playing together like that for at least a few years. From what I've heard it seems to be more blues based than your average indie rock collab. I'm not sure if they're still playing in that vein. Also, for a better idea of Chris's guitar skills, I'd listen to some of his solo stuff or better yet Come. (He played drums in Codeine.)

Got some .012 strings and now my jag is in D standard and it's STAYING THAT WAY. Sounds so, so good, and heavy strings are great to play with (I had 0.011s tuned to standard before, I don't even think I could tune it to E with these strings on if I wanted to).
Plus I finally have enough patch cables and good picks again, so I just had a GREAT jam with all my pedals and new strings. Put me in a pretty good mood

Yup, it's definitely real blues, but I'm into that. I'd have preferred Karate and Codeine in a bigger venue, but since that's not going to happen, I will be content in going to a straight up blues show that got my attention because of those two bands. Damn. Now I have to think just how awesome a Codeine and Karate in the Fishtank would have been. But that album with Karate on their own is pretty awesome as well. Highly recommended. Really looking forward to this shizzle!

Noone is coming. I still ponder on going alone but I might as well do something else without being alone.

finally got it back, my Hugger/ Vice Grip #1. Sure missed it, a lot. Tom threw in extra treats, too, so fun times ahead after much waiting and courting with the customs post office.

Oh, man. I hope you go to this show. I always go to shows alone if no one else wants to go. Don't let going alone stop you.

it's always better to go alone than to not go. if i hadn't gone by myself i wouldn't have seen MBV.
