There are some damage and condition issues but we will get them squared away even though we are renters. I think if we take care of like the drainage issues the home owners will knock a bit off of our rent. I've got a new bicycle commute that will be a little longer but will wind up being more of a casual ride as I can avoid downtown traffic.

Got all our shit in over the weekend,...still gotta let the Ikea Nesting Instinct take hold and get everything put away.

We bought a sweet couch and surprise surprise,...we can't get it in the house by normal methods. We will likely have licensed and bonded window contractor come out and remove the picture window,....get the couch in that way,...then reinstall it. We have renters insurance as well so if anything happens to the window,...I think we ought to be covered.

That snag aside.....

So stoked!!!

Hardwood floors FTW!!!

I've got oak floors underneath the carpeting here - I want to paint the interior before pulling the carpet up, since that will lessen the need of drop-clothing everywhere. If it drips a bit on the carpet, who cares...it'll be coming out anyway.

Interesting Fact 01 - in Japan some ladies prefer to be a little Sweater Mitten Length down there during the cold season, so as not to flash all their bits and wrinkles at other laydays when they're at the hot spring (onsen).
