Yeah lol, one of my favourite things to say whenever I bust out a song with a capo is to just say "the capo is like having an extra finger", then I stare at some random girl in the audience until she looks at me then I wink then go into the song. Seriously awesome just to see some of their expressions like "is he going to put that in me?"

Lol. Exact opposite of me playing guitar or bass.
My method:
1. Stand perfectly still.
2. Look at guitar/bass, or at point in the distance. Never look anywhere else.
3. No drinking while playing. That's for after.
4. Wear normal clothes regardless of music scene. Either jeans and white tee, or button down shirt and nice pants.

Personally I've always favoured the old method of
* Stand staring at pedals for first song
* Start loosening up and enjoying it during second song
* Move around more and more during third song until you fuck up your playing/ effects management
* Feel embaressed and go back to staring at pedals and not moving
* Repeat to fade....
Oh, and my jeans are too baggy for a cucumber to really be pronounced enough, so I went for a fire extinguisher- sexy AND safe
