Aside from the United Sons of Toil (who are one of the best bands from WI ever...and I'm including Die Kreuzen in there), Siege of Power Records, Ear Wax, and a couple decent venues (that no one plays at apparently), Madison is an absolute and total waste. Milwaukee, Appleton, and Eau Claire have infinitely better music scenes and things happening. Hell, even fucking WAUSAU has better shit going on than Madison...and that is some middle-of-nowhere type shit. People from Madison are terrible. The only people worse are those who are from somewhere else, that move to Madison for any reason other than school. Those people are the absolute worst. I know that sounds elitist, but it's the truth.

As far as non-musical cool stuff, Wisconsin is full of it. I own at least 5 books about weird stuff in Wisconsin. If you ever come back and want some tips on things worth your time, let me know!
