I only ever regret walking away from one fight, i probably would have gotten the crap kicked out of me but looking back I wish I had thrown a punch.

I've never started a fight in my life, but the very few I've been in I ended ...(quickly...) after trying to talk my way out of it/them. DON'T mess with 15 years of martial arts training.

Surprised at hearing about everyone fighting so much, I guess I never went to a normal high school much (got kicked out 2 months into my freshman year for drugs, spent the next 4 years in various alternative schools and rehabs and whatnots) but even at the "bad kids" schools I spent time in fights were pretty much localized to the Mexican or Tongan kids and got broken up immediately. I guess this was before metal detectors so everyone knew we all had guns but still, Kinda shocking. I assumed affluent white kids wouldn't even experience fights in this day and age, shows how much I know.

i dunno, where i live there's two high schools in the immediate vicinity. small and poor one with white minority (which i went to), large and rich one with ENORMOUS white majority and i shit you not, there are always so many more fights there. fights there are also a bigger deal because they usually tend to jump one person so it's not a fair fight. we've got fights at our school of course, but we've also got kids (athletes, mostly) who will pull apart people who start fighting without a second thought.

this might be because there's just more people at the other school, but i think there's something about affluent white kids that makes 'em scrappy for no goddamn reason.

Meh i think it has more to do with how schools handle fighting although other things influence that. I went to a predominately middle to high income white school and there weren't that many fights. I mean i guess we were probably the median of the 4 schools in town not the ghetto school and not the everyone drives bmw's school. But by the time i was in highschool i knew better than to get in a fight/ any type of physical altercation even if i got pushed because i would get charged with something or get sued.

fights broke out all the time
there were mad clicks
teachers got fucked up by kids
u could score any kinda drug you wanted
and one point there was a steroid trend going around
everything got stolen
