I was too weak.

finally you went into the NOS area
Please do not tell us, that it sounds good. I DO NOT WANT IT!!!

Of course I will tell you that it sounds good! To know for sure check if I flip it or if I keep it!

Dude, I've been there before. Had a Doom Bender Ian built for me 6 months ago. But I didn't bond with it. Let's see how this one works out. I still haven't made my mind up about the Mind Rocker. I'll let you know as soon as I do.

I bought a Fender Toronado last week, and I'm trying to hook up a nice ebony SG right now. I have the fever (and overtime money burning a whole in my pocket.)

shit, no luck on the SG. I'm going to find one this week, though! I am undaunted!
Maybe partying will help.

FUCK! There is something wrong with my head! I went to a store and as if I hadn't just spent basically all I had to spend on that Meathead I walk out with one of these:

Image

It was a decent deal and I've been eyeing these since forever, but still I must have lost my mind!
Well, on the sunny side: It sounds great, I really like the options the switch gives you (you have the choice of two different caps in the tone stack or a complete override) so it is possible to go from chimey to grimey at the flick of a switch and I think that is great. I admit the option of a coil split would have been a nice touch too, but really I have not felt much need for a single coil in the few hours I have this baby. The humbucker-esque pickup is very chimey and clear when you override the tone control. It does not have the string separation that is so great about single coils but it does have its merits. i was afraid of it being too hot so that it would not get along with my pedals that are mainly tailored to my SC guitars, but the AMG and my pedalboard get along nicely!
Also she plays really well.

But I just don't know what the fuck has ridden me to buy this. Now I need to think about selling off stuff so I won't be fucked by the end of the month. But there is nothing I want to sell. Dammit!

Oh well, I guess this is what the GAS thread was really meant to be.

edit for decent pic

Howmuch? Those are cool, the pickups have weird (in a goodway) wiring where the tone control splits the coil. They're super heavy though (used to have the bass).
(I have a weird hankering for a Peavey Razer ... )

There's a T-15 for $150 and a T-60 for $350. Cooler heads are almost prevailing though. I kinda like those Peavey Patriots too. Hahaha.
