Birthday Pedal Discounts! **Read first post for info!**

Patrick and Ian, I'm really sorry that we pulled the plug on this right at your birthdays, sorry for the bad timing!

This is a complicated issue and it has nothing to do with the discount and everything to do with our work load and how much of a chore it's become to do the hand finished pedals.

We're trying so hard to make progress and get our business working in a way that makes more sense and these hand vinyled finishes and hand populated pcbs are just such a grind that it's standing in our way both economically and time/productivity-wise. They gotta go.

I'll extend you guys' birthday discounts to the time of the Tremolessences and Elements and hopefully that will ease the pain of not getting a vinyl finish.

I was thinking about going for a cleaness but I can wait for the elements whenever it gets done even if it means waiting for my birthday next year.

So it is official that the elements will go completely clean so it will work just like the elements? Neato, sometimes I to just need a touch of eq for some of my fuzzies and that's what I was looking at the cleaness for. What do you think the price point is going to be for the elements?

Totally official, the Elements can be used with 0 gain or even less than 0 gain. It can be a clean eq or a clean boost or both or neither. I'm shooting for a price of $250.

My understanding is that you'll still be offering the birthday discount, just not on vinyl finished pedals and only on mini-RRRs for the time being? 'Cuz I'd love to pick up a The Elements once the big THREE OH rolls around mid-July.

The birthday discount will be for any pedal that doesn't have a vinyl finish. So right now that means only mini-RRRs, but next week it'll mean Tremolessences too and next month it'll also mean the Elements.

Big 30 in July hey! You'll definitely deserve a nice birthday treat for that one!

Personally I think Tanya should only vinyl custom stuff (for a nominal fee of course) and design the finishes. What you have done with the mini rrr is totally awesome and in line with the Dr. Scientist design themes. Plus it means Tanya can spend more time being creative with other things.

You said it exactly right, Ian, that's our plan in a nutshell right there.

The time that Tanya has spent on Dr. Scientist is awesome... she's put everything she ever wanted to do on hold since 2006 so she could make our pedals. It's amazing of her and I owe it all to her. But she has a lot of things she's wanted to do with her life and now it's time for her to get that opportunity, she sure deserves it.

Tanya loves crafting and sewing and painting and gardening and cooking and I want her to be doing a lot more of that stuff. She's always going to be doing our screen prints and they'll just get cooler and cooler but the vinyl finishes are going to be phased way out. They pretty much already are, actually.

Pretty cool that you get all that, buddy, and thanks for understanding and supporting it!
