If anyone has a Hollow Earth they are looking to sell/trade, I am interested!
Good deals on ILF: too many to list, just ask!

Re: Sonic Crayon GAS!
Well he was a bit frazzled with the old Hollow Earth PCBs, and no one was really asking about his other designs, so I asked, waited for a while, and eventually he got back to me. It took six months or so, but it was worth it. I'm not sure if he has the time right now since he's reworking the code and PCB design for the new batch of Hollow Earth pedals.
Do you like listening to homemade music? Me too. Why don't you try one of mine?

Probably hidden in DIY somewhere. It's blue and his usual pretty looking aesthetic.

yeah I'm the sonic crayon dude.
getting my act together for a proper online "store" with frequent batches of designs is a goal of mine, and I know it's been long. I built only around 30 hollow earths since two years ago. way more than I had hoped. I've probably dissapointed a lot of people who are on the original waitlist.

Re: Sonic Crayon GAS!
at present, pedal building has only been a hobby with a bit of side-cash for me. I already have a full-time job. I've been really afraid to take the plunge, quit, and start a biz. some people are better at taking risks. not me. I'm just wired that way.
the current plan is to continue occasionally building some, and eventually take a 6-month break from official work and see how far I can get with pedals. I dont know when I'll do that. certainly not for a year at least.
that said

This is what I've been working on since a few months ago. an improved version of the hollow earth that has more features AND is easier/quicker to build on my end. lot of planning. some things are lost, though. like the smooth knob. the max-LFO time will be shorter. if you dialed down the resolution on the old version, you could make 30-second long LFOs. in the new ones, I've rewritten the engine and the old rules no logner apply. with new advantages (interpolation, and being simpler to build) come disadvantages. the new one will top at 18 seconds, though it will be adjustable to longer with a loss of detail (or the other way around)
things I'm adding is two ways to use a random mode. one is much like the original, dedicated with control over random "bursts", the other is a simpler blendable version on top of existing waveforms. other stuff I'm adding include tap tempo and the ability to "record" sound dynamics of an input sound (guitar, synth/ drum machine/ noise, whatever) and turn that into an LFO!
the vibrato is something that I've so far only been doing on demand. only built 4 of them. I intend on building 4 more over the summer, but 2 or 3 are already "reserved". also building a few more moths. I'm not taken more reservations at the moment. I know that sucks a bit but I want to involve as few promises as possible untill I work out a proper building pipeline.
nych, I've slightly updated the firmware of the vibrato random mode. it's MUCH better now! your random version doesn't work so well when you slow down the speed. the new one does! if you ever want to update it, I'll do it for free! either send it to me and I'll flash it and send it back, or if you're feeling adventerous, I can send you just the new chip which you can pop in. totally free.

Re: Sonic Crayon GAS!
Amazing stuff! The Vibrato is crazy and excellent compared to every other vibrato pedal I've heard.
I'd love to get my hands on both a new Hollow Earth and a Vibrato, and totally understand the need to get a pipeline going and make the designs easy to produce. When you're ready to do that, I'll be there ready to order!

Thanks for posting an update cloudscapes! I've been spying this stuff coming through your blog. Looks great! Some of the new Hollow Earth features sound fantastic: the input recording > LFO feature and the blendable random bursts especially. Very cool man. And for whatever it's worth, I think the no reservations - get 'em while they're hot business model is actually smart. Then you never have to slog through a backlog and stress about being behind on orders and all of that. It's like always paying cash.

Re: Sonic Crayon GAS!
I gotta make a better video for that vibrato. I remember it well, I was all like "hookay, lets just get'r done in 5 minutes". no planning, awkward setup, no real motivation. I'm not exactly a great guitarist either when I'm not hiding behind loads of effects (I fully admit it). and it doesn't showcase the new tweaked random mode.
also, I posted this on my blog several days ago about the new HE
