Sometimes I question whether or not he is real...or has been alive and may have been dead to help us stay over there and try and get that oil or something. I dunno...but I'm upset he's dead and not captured.

The hairy Taliban dudes so kindly promised to detonate a nuclear device in the Europe if O.Been Laid-n gets it. So it kind of builds up the tension a bit,

Though I am the fiorst to agree that one can easily speculate about the terrorist dirty bomb and nuclear device threats all day long and come to conclusion it's just either for showing off or just a smokescreen for the real danger:
