Here you go, this is our "Conference Room" as it has come to be known. Though "Terrifying and filthy small room" wouldn't be far off. I cannot understate how small this room is, and we jam with anywhere from 3-5 people depending on the band. In the second pic you can see the copper pipe on which i burn my face and ear while we play.

Used to practice in my basement, fortunately last year decided to move everything out, because yesterday I went down and had 18 inches of water.

Here are some pics of what it used to look like
Along with a pic of all my pedals opened up to dry (first time it flooded my board got baptized)

We had everything up on cinder blocks and old wire spools from work but even that would not have prevented a ton of damage yesterday.

Right now My synth is on a stand (Casio CZ-1) in a corner I can't get to yet, but it looks OK for now.

Had a 9 pc kit down there along with the little Yamaha Digital Kit.
That is my Son's he recently added me to his band called Veronica, but I got kicked out after a day.
Pretty sad when your 5 year old boots you from his made up band.

@thrushes Is that the key to your reverb-soaked guitar sound?

Plus, it's super fucking cheap.

The mics are set up because we were trying to record.

Um this is amazing compared to the practice space we paid by the hour for(well per 5 hrs) when i still had a band. It looks almost clean and it's gigantic! How much do you pay for 5 hrs?

I don't have pictures but i'm fairly sure we breathed in asbestos, various cultures of mold and bacteria, as well as the smell of stale beer, sweat, and piss every-time we went to practice. The walls were covered in ridiculously old carpet that was coming off holes were punched in the walls underneath, it was never clean. The roof leaked... onto us sometimes. several penises and pentagrams drawn on the ceiling, really badly named band stickers on the door. The pa was alright when it wasn't feeding back but the rooms were tiny and oddly shaped we had to do extremely awkward gear setups to get everything to work.

I couldn't convince my band to switch to the actually nice new way closer to us practice space place because it cost something like 5-10 dollars more. They were also adamant that we should stick with the shitty place even after the owner started asking for our fees a week ahead ( we always paid our sessions and sometimes left him a tip of like $5-10 because we didn't have exact change) and making us wait on a bunch of occasions several hours to start practice because his recording sessions had gone overtime . I mean he let us practice as long as we wanted if no one was booked in after us which was cool but we rarely practiced more than 6 hrs sometimes bailing early because the lead singer felt depressed about some girl not having sex with him and just wasn't "feeling it".

:picard: :picard: :picard:

It was $40.
However, it looks kinda nice, but uhh... the guitar amps are dying, the bass amp sounds like total shit, and the PA is the worst I've ever heard. The drums are also pretty awful. I guess that's standard stuff.
It's also freezing fucking cold. Oh, and one time when we practicing, all these kids showed up out of no where. These kids were like, maybe 14 at the oldest and were all pretty drunk hahaha. THere was like, 10 of them too. They basically showed up and wouldn't leave, so we made as much noise as we possibly fucking could to get them to leave... and they just loved it. The place is weird. The owner is also kind of sketchy.

I don't know, it's not a nice place. It's kind of not bad sometimes, but then I remember that the bassist went for a walk one time and ran into a couple of guys doing heroin.
Fun.

Every single dude I've rented from has been either sketchy or a weirdo, or both. For example, one of the dudes had his whole office COVERED with porn. Either he was going for a "new age chic anal fisting" motif, or he had a serious problem.

That is terrifying.
I also feel nothing could be more appropriate than this.
