Ah, that's fine. I've seen him make other similar statements and don't read TB enough to actually know the guy. Regardless, there are plenty of posters who say similar stuff, and plenty of examples of it in that thread. I'm encouraged that there's a movement afoot (spearheaded mostly by ILF'ers it seems) to call out the d-bag bashers in the FX forum...definitely overdue.

Why does everyone always talk in such general terms about being "lost in the mix". Yeah, a bunch of distorted instruments playing the same note at different octaves will blend together... but it's not the distortion' fault you don't know how to work as a band. If you can never get through your guitar player, maybe you need to consider the possibility that your guitar player is an attention-whoring asshole. Or maybe you, as a band, need to plan a song around the sounds you want. If you want fuzz bass, cut out the power chords.

FWIW,...I don't hate EHX,...it's just a lot of stuff they come out with recently is just.

I'd love to give a SMMw/H a go,...also the 2880 Looper. There are a few others I'm sure,...IDK,...maybe I'm just regurgitating opinions I've read on the interwebs but the EHX pedals I've owned I've gotten rid of lickety split. Its a love hate thing I guess,...but that could be par for the course for most of the big makers.

I have to say, some of EHX's older stuff is pretty decent, I tried an old Small Clone and I loved it. My Bass Micro Synth ruled balls when I had it. I was possessed by the BBM for a while back. But I have since tried everything to get rid of it. Bottom line, EHX is 98% not cool for me.

I think they make some cool shit. And some lame shit. I have never found a EHX pedal without a quirk. And I haz a love hate thing going with them in that I have never been able to get their stuff to really work well for me live
