Heaviest hands down for me was Sunno))). Vibrating innards and fucked up heart rhythms for an hour and a half, wooo.

Second in place would be Boris, the first time I saw them. Second time they were playing a lot more of their sparklier, lighter stuff. But the first time I saw them back in 08 was all heavy and droned out and shit.

I've seen the Chariot, I'd say they're 'loud' but not really all that 'heavy', for the most part, though that might just be the venue I saw them at, it felt like the lows were really lacking for their set. Alternatively, original lineup Norma Jean playing Bless the Martyr and Kiss the Child = fucking heavy.

But the heaviest band I've ever heard and seen was 'Nai-Ha' era Zeni Geva.

The blew the Melvins off the stage when they toured together. Old band opened for Unsane once, they were nowhere in Zeni Geva's league. Not Meshuggah... Not any black or death metal band.

Some of my runner's up would be; King Snake Roost, Grief, Black Flag and Extreme Noise Terror...

The Pixies at Marcus Amphitheatre in Milwaukee (outdoor venue) for me, but I haven't been to a ton of live shows like most folks. We were as close as you could get to the stage without having won some stupid radio contest, so like 50 rows back..

I remember a band I listened to in the past called Kalmah, can't recall if they were any good and no longer have there stuff... think they were pretty fucking heavy though, there's a point where heavy just becomes noise though (Some like that, I prefer my melodic death metal such as the aforementioned Dethklok... I realise they're not amazingly heavy but they do kick ass for a fictional band).

Dethklok kicks so much ass considering they don't exist, and so many BAD doom metal / other-types-of-metal bands do exist.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor aren't really industrial or electronic... they're one of the quintessential post-rock bands.

Post-rock? I know we've had this discussion..but what exactly does that mean?...can you give comparisons to other bands?
