just finished this, the LED mounting went well It's a noise gate with attack release mods. It kinda looks like it says air gate lolol it's meant to be A/R for attack release haha.oh well.
So is this just a 'utility' pedal? I mean, I know what a noise-gate does..but I wasn't sure if this one was just a noise-gate or meant to be used as a quirky effect in its own right sorry if I'm overlooking something obvious...
It works as a normal noise gate but you can also change the attack and release, sort of like a slow gear if you've heard one of those? It basically just swells the volume, makes it sound like a violin/organ sort of. So yeah, you can use at as either a noise gate or an effect in it's own right if you change the attack.
intothegroove asked me to build him a metasonix tamer (those pedals put out line level). so basically a true bypass passive loop pedal with volume poti after the return jack.
Thanks, guys! I wish I had more of those knobs. I'll try to post a clip of the Gristleizer down the road. It's pretty amazing so far. A good versatile tremolo on some settings and just lots of cool weirdness on the other channels. Plus good overdrive distortion sometimes. Got the PCb from Taylor at musicpcb.com. It's a beautiful board and parts are easy to find...
