I've read some pretty bad things about Eddie's customer service. I do like to browse their website sometimes, though.
Yea, they don't seem to care about customer service in the least, until you start spending a bunch of money, dicks. It's really cool to browse in person though, like a fine museum of high end gear and boutique amps. I was pretty impressed first time I went in.
Think you need an appointment to play stuff now though, as lame as that sounds.
Fuck Eddie's. If they want to be a museum, then they can stop pretending to be a shop.
KV is pretty cool, although I still haven't been to the Delmar one. Supposedly they're carrying EQD now.

Fazio's has a nice selection of stuff I like; I got to play the Blacktops and a CP Jag there.
Music Folk in Webster Groves has great CS, but it's more geared towards folk, obviously. They do have some electric stuff and cheap used stuff. I get my rosin and metal picks there. I also think they're the only place in town with Dano effects. My Talman that I got rid of last year came from there.
I really like Dave's Guitar Loft (also in WG). I was about to buy an amp there, but decided to keep mine. The shop is small, but they pack in some decent stuff (Orange!), and they're super nice. They let me bring in my pedalboard to try out amps.
The amount of money I spend at GC in KIrkwood is directly proportional to how much I hate it. Best part about them is they're open on Sundays. There's one longer haired bigger dude that works in guitars that knows his shit and is pretty cool. He sold me my Tele that Ben has now. The one in Edwardsville has nicer peeps, but their selection is totes lame. I did get my Vox AC4 there, though.
My favorite music shop (PM) is actually in Jackson, TN.
