A friend from work let me borrow it. I went in knowing no sort of back story. Watched it twice that day. It made me want to play bass, a lot, so I can't hate. That, and it constantly making fun of scenesters.

Man do I feel like a bitter curmudgeon. Am I the only person who cant stand Michael Cera, especially when he's being "self-aware". Also I guess Im from the last generation of nerds that was properly ashamed of it and hid it. Dont kids still beat each other up? I feel like this movie/comic is the kind of thing that would get you beaten up.

Hello, software developer here. I am/was a nerd. I'm an adult now; I'm pretty sure that no one is going to try to beat me up for liking this.

Also Michael Cera is painfully mainstream-acceptable. He's not exactly Revenge of the Nerds. I had a lot of doubts about his ability to play the character, but he pulled it off. Mainly because Scott Pilgrim in the comics is adorably-stupid and enthusiastic, whereas Michael Cera traditionally played more of a deadpan clueless teenage boy (like his character in Juno, where he's not really every aware he's participating in a scene, it seems)

I definitely feel this.

Also this is the only Michael Cera movie I've really enjoyed.

Ive heard a lot of people say they liked it despite their hatred for Michael Cera too, so maybe I should give it a try. Just kinda turned-off by the concept, if I end up seeing it and liking it I'll eat my words.

I've been avoiding it purely on principle.

The only thing I'd watch Michael Cera in is a donkey show. And that's just to revel in his pain.

I think Michael Cera is just typecast. He may be good at other roles. We'll never know...never know...never know...never know...never know...

The game is quality. This is a fact.
