This is the thread where I start to hate roughly half of you because your weed is cheaper than mine.

It's ~$60 an 1/8 here, but I haven't bought any in over two months and have only smoked once in that time. I didn't have a hook-up nor money until recently and I hate having to cover my tracks so much now that I'm living with my parents. I just want to get high and chilllllllllll the fuuuuuuuuuck ooooooouuuuuuttttttttttttt.

The4455, I knew a guy who sold $20 grams when I lived in another large Midwestern city. Pricey, but it was always well worth it.

Also, I know it's inefficient, but I love rolling/smoking joints so much.

Yah, I don't smoke that often either, but I half a gram that I'm waiting to smoke. Also for it to get a little bit warmer.

everyone thinks they know best or more than the rest.

I started this topic merely to state that musical tools and instruments are a far better use of money than weed. and that if you quit, youd have money money to spend on those things.

if you thoroughly read what i said about knowing best, you would know it was in regards to drugs. funny how you left the first part of that quote out.

and no im not telling anyone whats best. its a fact that spending money on instruments is of better use than on drugs. ask your dad.

When I was 18 my ex used to sell weed so I'd get hooked up.

I don't smoke anymore though and I definitely feel as though I have an increased motivation to improve my playing when I detect a fault, whereas before I'd just make plans to get around to it eventually. More money for gear doesn't hurt either.(That wasn't meant to be a generalized statement about everyone who smokes weed not being productive/motivated, but a personal commentary on my own behavior while under the influence...just in case anyone gets all angry about it...or something... )

i feel the same way about being motivated. I've talked to a few of my friends and it seems like when alot of people get to around their mid-twenties they stop smoking pot. my teens through recently have been a green haze. it feels good to actually get things done. though i do feel when i get stoned and play guitar, i figure out weird things to play. like how soundwaves move in dissonance and how to fit them in with chords ive never thought to play. i cant play very fluid or well while stoned tho. i cant imagine getting high before a gig. the anxiety would kill me.
