Re: Crybaby: the pedal that rocks the world
The film features interviews with Brad Plunkett, the inventor of the pedal, plus many other musical luminaries such as Ben Fong-Torres, Eddie Van Halen, Slash, Buddy Guy, Art Thompson, Eddie Kramer, Kirk Hammett, Dweezil Zappa, and Jim Dunlop" Hmmmmm. What's wrong with this picture. NO FUNK GUITARISTS!!!! They couldn't give Freddie Stone a call? Maybe Michael Hampton? I'd say Prince but he's an ass and would say no anyway. What's the story of wah without funk? Hendrix, Hazel, Gaaah! If you want to know about the wah pedal just listen to Maggot Brain. That is all you need.
I'm sure this is pretty interesting nonetheless. Remind me to watch it when I have more time.

I started watching this, not realizing it was so long, and ended up watching it all. I think that's a testament to how good it is. Better than that Fuzz documentary was.

That was pretty cool.
I'll admit when Eddie Kramer said "James Marshall Hendrix", my first thought was, "What a douche."

there's the guy that recorded Shaft
but i know what you mean...it's funny how they add an annoying wah addict like Hammet next to Cantrell and other guitarists that use the pedal more... cleverly... seriously once you realise Hammet ALWAYS uses a wah, he will seem like a douche - at least with me it worked that way
glad you guys like it - i totally loved it AND it made me enjoy my crybaby more

That was cool.

Same thing happened to me.
Gotta mention it felt a little Dunlop driven, but what do you expect...
