It indeed was. Though I forgot jalapenos and was quite upset.

Basically, I'm trying to come up with a contest to up-sell our "super wich" (14") & our sig wich, "the wicked". It has more meat than the other ones (turkey, ham, rb, pepp, bacon + 3 cheeses). So for the contest, I thought the super sized wicked, with double meat (over a pound itself) + avocado would do nicely. Apparently I was wrong, because I ate that thing, - avocado, in like 15-20 minutes. Now if I tack on a 32oz malt...

The scale and all the NSF crap in the fore/background and the foil sandwich wrap. That's really making me crave a toasted grinder from Zero's in Virginia Beach

The jar of paste flux I have has an NSF label on it. :wha?:

I've been feasting on cowboy cookies and cheese quesadillas.

What meat's do they use? Our grinder is one of the best sandwiches we make, IMO.

I'm not sure what they use. If I remember correctly the Grinder has salami, pepperoni and ham,...I always had them add mayo before running it through the pizza oven. I know you're not supposed to warm mayo up,...but just something about the toasted bread and the warm mayo mixing with the tomato juice oil and vinegar was just fucking delicious.

This looks like their grinder and it's been years since I've had one.

The wife and I went back to Va Beach in '08 after we got married (right as TS Hannah was coming up the coast). Zero's was on the list of places to go but unfortunately,...between Pollard's Chicken,...Malbon Bros BBQ,...Kelly's on the OBX Pat's King of Steaks in Philly and numerous trips to Chik-Fil-a; we couldn't fit Zero's in. Maybe next time.

I actually worked at Malbon Bros. I was a cashier for the gas station and they had a deli/NC Style BBQ joint in the back of the station. They used Boar's Head cold cuts,...which in my opinion is the best and unfortunately unavailable in Spokane.

Achtane,...if you haven't you should check out Malbon Bros. It's in the Citgo that's on the corner of General Booth and Culver on the outside of the Ocean Lakes Neighborhood.

Yep, Malbon Bros is great. I love their bbq kits!
Doumar's in Norfolk is getting local commercials run now, but Malbon Bros is still way better imo. Oh man, speaking of Norfolk, this tiny tiny restaurant called Faheed's closed a few months ago...his super cheesesteak thing was the best sandwich I have ever eaten

Chili Lime Cashews from Trader Joes. If you've never had them and live by a TJ's, do yourself a favor and get some!
Freaking awesome!!!

Looks like we will finally be getting one of those around here. I'm looking forward to trying Two Buck Chuck,...although my expectations aren't very high.
