Same. I don't engage nerd mode often, but SC2 is just too awesome.

Won my last 4 out of 4 1v1s. Still haven't moved up any ranks...

Haha. I think it's time for a new computer. Mine can't really handle the game either. It causes my videocard to overheat and my computer to shut itself down to prevent damage. So what I have to do to play it (or any other graphically intense game) is keep one side of the cpu open and have a box fan set up against it, constantly blowing cool air in.

Go watch some Day9 videos. The ultimate in vicarious SC2 playing.

dude, omg, last nights games?
so sick

but the upset was July DESTROYING MVP
how does that happen!? it's freakin MVP!

the HongUnPrime/Nada game had me a little frustrated, I love Hongunprime but it was like he threw the game just to make a mothership
the phoenix opening was stupid awesome, I might start using it.
I just think he shouldn't have stopped making them, especially once the mother ship was out.
I mean, srsly? you're gonna try to take a gold as your third against a terran of nada status, and try to hold off mmm w/ gateway units and no HTs? srs?
then the double vortex had me angry too.
he could've done 'SO' much better, I really think he could've beat Nada, I really do. But he made so many little mistakes that just cost him the game.

I did like how he even told oGsTop that he was gonna 4gate his ass and Top kept on talking crapcrapcrapcrap
Top talked crap hardcore, saying Hongun wasn't a difficult opponent and that he wasn't really all that good
Hongun says he's just gonna 4gate rush him and win
more crap talking
game starts
what does hongun do? 4gates
AND DESTROYS TOP
man I was lol'ing so hard.

srsly, MC and Hongun are some of my favorite players. Throw Kiwikaki in there and thats my Protoss Triumvirate

I was in the Gom TV Chat and people started talking about balance, it was funny cause I said, "guys, lets leave balance issues to Idra, the bronzers and artosis."
followed by some lols and everyone shut up for like 3mins xD

Went from winning 11 out of 12 1v1s to a losing streak of like 5 in a row. All against Terran, all - except 1 - on blistering sands (my worst map).

Driving me crazy. So much turtling. I don't know how to deal with turtling. I'm very good against an expanding or open Terran. But turtled I suck against.

Dude turtle terrans are both a pet peeve of mine as well as some of the most fun
Basically if they're one base drop a cannon or two behind your mineral line, blue flame/mm drops or banshee play is likely. Make sure you go robo, immortals and observers are gonna be a
Necessity.
Build army but expand HARD
If he's turtled deep feel free to double expand.
basically if he's turtling over take him in Econ, upgs and production
Theres a good chance there's gonna be one 'huge' attack
So when it comes you're gonna have to hold it then rebuild your army before he can.

I'll try that tonight. I really don't expo enough.

I have 2 sweet new strats for team games, one which is an unusual unit comp and micro for dealing with mass roaches, and the other which is a totally new build - and may also be viable in 1v1s. Gonna test more tonight and if they keep working well I'll post them.

For mass roach I like blink stalker/void, or mass blink with immortals and voids sprinkled in.
Blink micro is so priceless, seriously, and armor upgrade since stalkers suck so much balls as upgrades scale.
dual forge is something I love so hard against Zerg <3

New way of dealing with mass roach in 2v2 = sentry + marine. So much win if you can do the micro. No other units. It means you can get out a relatively large force pretty early and it can handle any units zerg can throw at you early game. Even roaches. Because of their relatively short range you can use the FFs to just nudge them back out of range while you take them out.

Doing that ^ finally got our team moved up a league.
