Just got my 90 in the mail yesterday.

Only 1 problem. Can't get the screws out to put a battery in and I don't have a power source to hook it up to.

The screws just won't turn for anything and I don't want to risk stripping the heads.

:whateva: Yeah, well... Nothing the proper tools couldn't fix. You need a good, solid screw twister to take them off, and once the bottom's off, remove Your battery clip. That can be done easily with any pliers. With the money You save for not using batteries, You can buy the power supply and order some more pedals.

Yeah, seen that before. Thing is I'm super low on cash and I already have an entire case of batteries. So using batteries won't really cost me more, and I don't have the money to buy a power supply for at least for a month or so.

Is a screw twister just another name for a screw driver? I have screw drivers. The problem is that the depression in the screw head is very shallow and the metal is fairly soft. So when I apply more force I risk stripping the head, and if I don't apply more force the screw driver just pops out without turning it. If I really need to I could always drill them out but I'd rather not.

Look up screw extractor...
The are a few other ways but they either cost money or involve a hammer :animal:

Sounds like your screw driver isn't the right size.

Fits fine in the slots width wise. The depression is just too shallow I think.

It's like this, if the screw on the left is the normal depression size and one on the right shows these screws:

Yeah, they make a variety of sizes. Do you have a screwdriver with a detachable head? You can get a bit set for cheap I think...for the time being looks like you're going to have to wait for a friend with a different screwdriver.

I'll have to look through my tools. I left most of them in NY when I moved to Boston.
