I got the same email today, im waiting on 3 pedals.

Yeah, im not a pushy guy but it would be waaay easier to swallow the "working hard" line if Devi didnt spend all that time posting on her own forum.

I posted that in her forum when she was saying she wouldn't post for awhile, which lasted a whole 15 hours tops. Big shocker there. Feel bad for people waiting. I know she'll get 'em to you, but oh boy is that frustrating.

I cant imagine another scenario where I would pay 170 bucks in advance, get no updates, and such a terse email almost 4 months later. I'm sure she's swamped with emails and gets sick of sending updates to people and dealing with psychos and stalkers but...I'm just a customer. All that stuff shouldnt become my problem, not professionally.

Yeah pedal makers shouldn't have lives outside of making pedals.

Then what is he saying? I don't see how making a vlog a day can prevent productivity if they're only 10-15 minutes long. I'm not excusing Devi's tardiness, I just think mentioning her vlogs as "crying" and such is unrelated.

Edit: Honestly, if it has been over three months I'd be emailing her once a week signed with "hurry up, sincerely: :insert name here:" at the end.

Yeah that is probably a pretty good idea.

it's just kind of hard to think someone is truly being productive and making an attempt at trying to get stuff done when they find time to do lots of other stuff... i think the major point that bellyheart was getting at was "distracting herself."

Then he shouldn't have mentioned her "posting the videos crying about whatever." Seemed harsh to me so I gave him an equally harsh sarcastic response. And I stand by it.

I've always loathed wait lists, but sometimes they are just unavoidable.

And I'm sure it's annoying to answer emails from the 350 people waiting on a pedal, but if you don't want that kind of bother...eh, don't sell pedals. That's exactly why I rarely build stuff for people. And that's also exactly why I don't take money until the pedal is complete and ready to ship. I can barely handle one or two at a time; I know 50+ would drive me insane.

I am waiting for a Trombetta Bone Machine (45 day lead time - and I paid half up front), and a Basic Audio Spooky Tooth (2 weeks lead time) and thus far they are on schedule. I don't mind waiting for something that is on schedule. I just don't like it when a builder asks me to pay up front, goes well beyond the time they have promised (in this case more than two weeks) and doesn't communicate well about what is going on.

haha this is ILF. cue the weird mix of positive & negative about Devi. shes got friends here. and a lot of people shes burned or pushed away.
shes normally unhelpful at best in emails. unfriendly at worst.
plus shes a magician and can make pedals, orders, threads, forums, websites, videos, & allies disappear with ease.
:wizard:
but shes not gonna rip anyone off. just gonna treat customers & users with disregard.
