Yeah,..I participated in that thread just because there were some pedals I could add to the list that weren't represented. No surprise that the VT Bass and the TU-2 is vying for the top spot of most owned pedal on TB. TU-2 is predictable,...the VT Bass just proves to me my sheeple theory.

That and I'd hate to know how much bandwidth that thread is eating up, not that I know anything about bandwidth or vBulliten/PHP or whatever.

I made amends via PM with a certain VT Bass proponent TBer, but I still think he is a tool and I still hate the VT Bass,...but I'll keep that to myself in the interest of not being viewed as a hot headed hater. That guy still has a knack for twisting peoples words into a personal attack against him. It's the internet dumbass,...don't take it so personally. Or are you just intentionally stirring shit to be a troll?

So I got tired of dicking around trying to sell my Rickenbacker, and pulled the ad. Again. One dude on Tuesday said "I'll take it, here's my shipping address," and I said "Great! . . . So, are you going to pay for it?" to which the next day I was answered: "Oh I'll take care of that this weekend."

Oh well that's cool, I'll just wait 5 days, no problem. Am I the only person that says "Hey! I want to buy that thing you're selling!" and then pay up within about an hour? No, I'm not, lots of people do that.

It's just discouraging trying to sell stuff these days. I think I'm destined to keep this bass and rack up credit card debt once again. Alas! But at least the tunes are good in hell...

Talkbass although usefulfor a lot of things, is just a bunch of pretentious know it alls arguing with each other. 50% of the site is arguments. The attitude here is much more friendly and nonbiased.

Yup,...TBFX used to be cool, occasionally someone will post a legitimate question or I'm friendly enough with them that I don't mind contributing, but most answers to questions that people have concerning FX can be unearthed with a search. The TBFX Namm rumor thread was fun.

There are some frequenters of TBOT that I like and sometimes a rational debate will arise and enlighten me or expose me to a different perspective. The flamefests seem to mainly be in the Basses and Amps subforum. Probably the main reason is that I'm happy with my bass, and my amps but I rarely go into those two subforums. If I happen upon an argument; it usually good for the lulz. The site is just so huge, mostly filled with followers and relatively sanitary for the kids.

ILF is great,...I just wish I could identify with guitar players a little more.

A Squire? Seriously. First of all, I think 90% of the people on TB are tone deaf. Otherwise they would realize that Squires, SX and most Fenders basses (no offense if you use one) sound like shit. At least the cheap ones. I do like the American Jazz. It seems like every other post is OMG Fender! FENDER! Fuck Fender. FUCK THAT OLD FLOPPY MAN. In the anus. that is all.

I have played a couple of Squires that, in the music store, sounded better than the MIMs.
Not as good as the American Standards though.
They aren’t bad for what they are..
I like Fenders, but I grew up with them.
I’ve tried the Alembics, Foderas and some but ugly custom things, and they just weren’t right for me.

The ones that piss me off always have a Jaco, Geddy or slap reference.

It’s like if you don’t like those you can’t call yourself a bass player.

I won’t even go into the whole slightly perverted idea of Christian/Praise bands.
