"Bad Prince Charlie" by John Moore :)

then i'll read "A Fate Worse Than Dragons" also by him... but i should probably read Albert Camus' "The Stranger"

the thing is Moore is really easy to read and it's a great fun and it makes you forget about oyour problems, because it's so... fairytaily, but then again it'S a great parody etc.

You should, it's not long, decent enough and you will probably relate.

I can't read multiple books, you crazy! I'm trying to read Bukowski's Tales of Ordinary Madness, however, the depressing stories weren't good for my depressed mind, but I should be fine now. It's hard for me to set apart time to read....but I love doing it.

It's an archetypical Murakami. If you liked Hard-boiled Wonderland you're going to love this. It's very much in the same groove but a lot more refined. Just fun to read. I do miss the cooking that always seems to occur in his other books. Then again I'm only a third in.

I have not read anything by him but I will check it out as soon as I am done with jitterbug and the moral animal.
As with all of Crowley's other books I don't think I will ever be "done" with Magick without Tears.
As far as reading multiple books I switch depending on mood jitterbug perfume is my fluff book the moral animal science/philosophy and Magick without tears is in the never ending magick/philosophy/religion category.

I just finished "Rat Girl" by Kristin Hersh, and "Aching to Be" by Joyce Raskin. I have a bit of a rock & roll reading problem.

I read the shampoo bottle when I take a shower. Sometimes if I get bored, I read the can of shaving cream.
A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, God said, "Let there be Lips!" And there were, and they were good, and the lips said...

Seems this Murakami chap is quite popular. What would be a good book to start with?

kafka on the shore was the first book of his i read.

i'd say that one or the wind up bird chronicle. they're a bit on the longer side, but so worth it.
