Man, the only time I've ever tried to destroy a bass, I threw it as hard as I could on a concrete stage, then jumped on it. Bass still plays just fine.

Ha ha ha ha... reminds me of when a bandmate bought a cheap tele body & neck off eBay to build a guitar he could destroy onstage. He ended up putting a lot of work into it, and liked it too much to destroy it!
