ampeg scrambler. I used the tonepad layout went pretty nicely. sounds really evil. I think I still prefer the foxx tone machine for octave up but I can see the appeal. you can get some really cool garage rock sounds with the clean blended in.

why the sockets have four holes for the transisitors??
they layout has 4 holes for ECBE depending on what transistors you use. I had never built this thing before or used the 2n5306 transistors so I put the sockets in.
I tacked one leg of each transistor down with some solder so they aren't going to fall out.
Insane-o Muff variant built around a Russian Muff board. No gut shots because that shit is crammed in there. It's a clean build though, I promise!
The left toggle switches between standard mid scoop and flat mids, and the right toggle switches between standard silicon and hybrid germanium/silicon clipping. There are some other cool mods that form the basis of the sound... huge input cap for big fat tones (and a larger output cap as well), wide open gain stages with treble cuts at certain points in the circuit to keep it from getting fizzy, and LEDs in the second clipping stage to keep it from being too compressed when cranked up.
I AM THE MUFF COMMANDER!
I love the smell of solder in the morning.
Successful dealings with: blooghost, starcastic, bronzetalon, theavondon, absent, jero, sevenSHARPnine, magiclawnchair, oldangelmidnight, and others that I can't remember lol

How'd you know I like those sorts of knobs?
I'm very happy that this will be in the mail for me soon!!!
And for everyone who's curious, the first thing I'll do is open it up and take pictures
