IF YOU HAVE CURLY/THICK HAIR, DOES YOUR BEARD KEEP MORE WIND OUT?

I think it does. I have super curly hair and my beard grows slowly so it's always really sketchy looking after a couple days.

Like reminiscent of girls in 70s porn.
This is why I keep it shaved unless I'm not leaving the house for a week.
But anyway I think beard warmth is less about insulation and more about wind blockage, so thick hair probably has the advantage here.

I've had goatees, mustaches, mutton chops and neck beards. I never think they're keeping me warm until I shave them off. Then I'm freezing.

One thing I've found, is that as they get longer, there's a greater risk of them getting caught in stuff. Headphones are the worst. But I've had trouble with backpacks/guitar straps and if you like chewing on pens that ends up being a problem too.

Well when I have shaved of my beard entirely and I am going out in the winter, it's very cold on my chin! :joy:

I never notice that it keeps my face warm...until I shave. And then my face feels cold for a day or two. Even if it's not that cold out, I can feel the difference! :joy: BEARDS!

I've got a decent beard going on at the moment, and it seems to keep my face warmer. Though I guess the only way I'd know for sure is if I shaved it off. And THAT isn't happening. No matter how much my girlfriend begs.

I'm in kind of the same boat. Except instead of staying clean-shaven, I shave about once every week or two. So I've got a constant cycle of scraggle face-fuzz coming and going.

If you have a beard, do mothers herd their children away from you outside of schools? :animal:

Everyone herds away from me; I don't trim or 'style' my beard at all, it's completely natural, so I basically look like a hobo. Fine with me

beards absorb the scent of the ladies...

Hey man, you should be proud! That's one fine Goatee.

My beard comes through in really weird fucking patches so unless I hide inside for a week it looks retarded, hence i'm clean shaven... just not worth the hassle.
