Yo yo.
Just got another Wii, and I've been using my 27" Sharp large box MUTHA for nearly a decade. It looks alright, but I thought I'd upgrade to a flatscreen as the RCA inputs are flaking out and the power button may go at any second.
Any of you guys use a nice like 26" or so TV for the Wii? Any recommendations? I don't have a 360 or PS3, but if you have any technical advise (like what the fuck 480p, 720p, and 1080 mean), please chime in.
I'd be willing to pay around $400.
Thanks!

Re: Wii Players! Any TV Suggestions?
the wii dosn't support HD as standard, so no point in getting a 720 or 1080 unless your going to get a "NINTENDO WII COMPONENT CABLE"
I have Philips 42PFL5604H 42" LCD 1080P in my front room that I use the Wii on, its a stunning TV for the money.
Keep away from no name TV as if its for game playing you will need a good graphics processor, or you will get a tone of motion blur during fast paced games
(Get the Component cable and a HD TV!)

I use my wii on a 35' rear projection I got from goodwill for $50 (lets just say it has enough character to be worth that much
)
If you find an hd tv for your wii you'll probably want one of these http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_7_22?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=wii+hd+component+cable&x=0&y=0&sprefix=wii+hd+component+cable

I swear I deleted this thread a few days ago right after I posted it. I figured most of that stuff out, though it took me quite a while.
I ended up getting a LG 32" 720p on Amazon for $330. I guess 720p is quite on the way out, but I only have an upscaling DVD player and a Wii... so I don't even have anything that can put out 1080p. It's coming today... I'm sure it will be just right for what I need.
Thanks for the suggestions!

p.s. Yep, I have a Wii component cable too!
I played Donkey Kong Country Returns at Best Buy yesterday, and, while the difference is not mind-blowing, I enjoy the increased clarity and the vibrant colors one gets when one uses the component cable on a HDTV.
Good luck to me.

I'm looking for a TV for the same thing.
What do you guys think is a good size to go with for a living room? I was thinking 32", but a 40" would be nice...
How much do I need to spend to get something decent with a good picture?
