I caught them in philly over the weekend. Really great show. I felt like The Black Angels made for a better live experience tho, a bit more energy. But the bands do have different vibes so it's not really fair to compare I guess. It also seemed like Black Mountain had the guitars and vocals mixed way down, lotz o keyboards which kinda mellowed things out. Still liked them both tho. Here's a video I posted of B Angels, still need to upload the B Mountain clip...

I feel kinda bad that I've never seen Black Mountain, seeing as they're from Vancouver and I live about 45 minutes away.

Nate & Kyle from The Black Angels came over to the Blackout shop the day of the show. Extremely nice guys. Both used Muskets on stage that night and Alex used a Fix'd on his keyboard.

Very nice, pity the new BA album is a bit less heavy than previous... still... fantastic band and good to see them moving more into great pedals!

Meh on the Black Angels, but that new Black Mountain record fucking kills...... so much of a Sabbath Bloody Sabbath vibe on the heavier trackss, I love In the Future but I am totally on board with Wilderness Heart even if others are less enthused.........
