Ah, but You of course go to studio
, record the cymbal real good when beating it to death, send the samples via email as mp3s and ask extra $$$ for the electronical materials services. Send the cymbal remainders in a shoebox later on with the newly bargained extra money and go have a beer with the money left.
Problem solved. NEXT!

Hey!!!!!!!!!!!! Give him better ideas, it's MY CYMBAL!!!!!!!!
The last one I got was kind of a "made" cardboard envelope
I'm not sure how bendy the cymbal is. A long flat box with lots of bubble wrap would be better. If you have a pack-and-ship type place nearby, they might be able to sell you something and even pack it. I'll drop you some more money of ya gotta buy something.
And where are you guys getting 20" pizzas

If you have a music store nearby, they might have a box they can give you.

I've had UPS pack things before. They usually do an OK job, and have all sorts of boxes. I do that for things that are too big and I don't have boxes. It's like 15 bucks, I think. They'll probably also sell you the box.
Alternatively, moving places tend to sell boxes.
You could also hand-deliver it.
