i read the 1st graphic novel and saw the 1st tv episode... both great but the comic is a little more fast paced. zombies are a little more terrifying on tv though. looking forward to more!

the second scene was supposed to be some sorta "great director" coup. you know the one where they're talking in the cop car and each character is slowly revealing their inner truth/philosophy through raucous man-versation. i was hard to buy. those faces didn't seem like they should have those accents. it went on too long when the entire time we knew we were setting up these characters motivations. obvious. it was a bummer because my first thought was "i really hope i don't see these 2 people together again. they are just not interesting together". little did i know that these dudes will probably be around for the rest of the series.

as it moved forward i felt pacing of the show and got into it.

i'm a huge fan of post apocalyptic stuff and i love any story with a fresh slate. no health insurance, emails, weddings, DMV, post office, unresponsive iPhone to deal with? i'm in.

the black dad was a great character but way over acted. still loved him though. one move he did was the "start a sentance but almost start crying.. ABORT" move. good stuff.

i know it sounds like i'm all complaints. but right now i really like the show. the plot points and writing were great. the acting and execution were a little to heavy for my tastes.

the creator did shawshank so he gets a free pass for 3 episodes.

i hated that rick spent the first day of a zombie apocalypse in pj's and a blanket.
i thought some of the scenes were over acted too
but new shows tend to have a little bad acting. see he first season of seinfeld- funny but
you can tell they were a bit lost.
if the acting doesnt get better then you still have the whole killing zombie thing that will
always make this show awesome.
and the special effects are pretty rad.

No kidding! Why isn't Herschel dead yet, or Andrea? For a zombie apocalypse there sure are a lot of non-zombie folks hanging around.

I mean....I love it and all.....but more happens on one episode of Dragonball Z than on an episode of the Walking Dead.

But I still love it. :!!!:

That blonde girl who won't stop bitching about everything made me lose interest after the first season. Either off yourself or shut up, dude.
Caught most of the second season on a marathon, but still...
I really want her to die.

A bunch of my friends watch the show. I've seen all of the second season and the new third season episode.

I like it. It's no 28 Days, but AMC is seriously ramping up the quality of (basic) cable television.
