I was just watching The Price is Right and it struck me how bizarre the show is. Everyone is really fucking enthusiastic (more so than on any other show), people are tripping over themselves to get up there, 2 models drive a tiny train across the stage with washer and dryer in tow, the host regularly pokes fun at all the contestants, half the prices are things like ice cream makers and luggage...

It's like how we watch MXC or something and go "hahaha Japan, never change..." except it's our fault this time.

Don't get me wrong, I love The Price is Right. But it's pretty different.
