So I saw Ministry headline a festival a number of years ago and all day there was a bunch of pop punk bands playing.
So there was hundreds of ~15 yo girls in the audience. The sun goes down and ministry comes out. They open with psalm 69. during the beginning min. or so I could hear all these girls sayin "this is bullshit" ect. and walking away. everything stops and you hear "and now its time for us to give a little love back to god" then it started raining 15 yo girls. I was the only one out of my group of friends not drinking and they had to help me walk out and drive me home. I was covered in blood and sweat. they all stood on the back lawn of the venue (pussys)
Anyone have good violent concert stories?

I was at an mgmt concert. It was pretty crowded but the audience started going insane. By the end of the concert for people around me had passed out, one guy next to me was pulled out for starting a fight, and one guy a few

Saw Morbid Angel, Dissection, and At the Gates back in '96. Also three opening bands, none of which I remember at all. Dissection took about an hour to get onstage, and people were getting pretty agitated at that point, especially given the size/shittiness of the venue (Showcase in Corona, those who know know). A fight broke out between two dudes, who were repeatedly kicked by many as they rolled from one end of room to the other. By the time they were broken apart the one dude's face had about 8 finger sized gouges removed from it. That concert fucking ruled.

Not much later, Jon from Dissection would kill someone, and then, after being released from jail, himself.

Went to see Municipal Waste for free one time. For some god-forsaken reason, I chose to be the wall of the pit. That shit was RIDICULOUS for two main reasons that are completely unrelated from the intense amount of thrash going on.

1. There were two really, really, really crusty punks in the pit getting really aggressive in the pit. They kept trying to start fights, but nobody would get close to them because of their obvious stench and dread-mullets.

2. Throughout the show, the Waste were throwing cans of Tecate directly into the crowd, oftentimes completely full and recently opened. One was thrown at a guy in the first row of people, then he hucked it directly behind him. My brain told me to look at my shoes, and after I did, the can nailed me DIRECTLY in the head, followed with the shower of beer.

I've seen scarier pits involving lamer bands (Lamb of God anyone?), but that was my absolute favorite pit I've been in, because MUNICIPAL WASTE IS GONNA FUCK YOU UP!

Municipal waste pits are insane.

Lamb of god wasn't that bad of a pit for some reason.

but...Machine head had a fucking massive pit for aesthetics of hate and imperium.
So many people completely airborne.

I was an unwilling participant in the hugest pit I've ever seen in person at a Black Dahlia Murder show. A friend and I are couple of yards out of the unofficially designated pit area, first song starts, and suddenly the pit is all around me, and trying to get out was even harder because drunk dudes assuming you're not getting out, you're just bashing against the wall of the pit, so I ended up in there a few minutes longer than intended.

The pits at Lamb of God shows I've been to haven't been that bad at all, the worst that happened was having to do a diveroll for my glasses that had been recently ejected from my face .

The LoG pit I saw was just really big, but it was the year that Ozzfest was free, which explains it.

I was catching Superchunk and Seaweed in '95 and some out-of-place redneck rammed head-first into a girl who was maybe not even 5'. He knocked her down,and knocked her breath out of her,after which I was grabbing his shirt collar to punch him in the face. Then a security guard who was as wide as I am tall,pulled me to the side and hauled his sorry ass out of there.

I went to see Audio Slave, with 30 Seconds to Mars and Seather.

Jared Leto came into the audience, sang with his arm around my shoulder and gave me a big kiss.
The mosh pit got going during Audio Slave.
A dad was there with his 2 young teen kids, they moved back, one who was only 3 feet tall kept launching herself into the air, she must have gotten at least 2 ½ to 3 feet high each jump.
